Not only that, but we have also explained why each laptop is good, why it is on our list, and for what use it is the best compared to other laptops. Let’s jump into the post without further introduction.

The first step in choosing a laptop is determining which type of laptop suits your needs. Laptops generally fall into two categories: thin and light laptops, and gaming laptops. If you are unsure which one is right for you, read the section below for guidance.

Best Laptop

Which kind of laptop is right for you?

Gaming Laptop

So the first major category is gaming laptops. So if your need for a laptop is for gaming, video editing and rendering, for creating 3D models or any graphically intensive purposes then you fall into this category. Gaming laptops come with a dedicated graphics card which will accelerate your job.

Pros: Gaming laptops come with the most powerful processor in their budget range with a dedicated graphics card ensuring the best performance across the board. Moreover, they will provide the highest number of I/O ports and the longest upgrade cycle, with removable slots for multiple SSDs, RAMs, etc.

Cons: Like every coin has two sides, this performance doesn’t come for free. Those who want to have this ultimate performance will have to cope with the higher footprint, lower quality builds, including a plastic body on laptops costing even above 90K, and less battery backup than thin and light laptops.

Thin and Light Laptop

On the other hand, if you want a laptop for media consumption, document editing, web browsing, etc., then you likely fall into this category. They are still powerful enough to do all the day-to-day tasks, sometimes even faster than a gaming laptop of the same budget, depending on the task.

Pros: Thin and light laptops are the ones that get the most attention from manufacturers, they are often the laptops that are built with the best materials, the best displays, battery backup, and especially the build quality. they are often made with metal parts that are light right and thin.

Cons: Many laptops cost much more than what they are providing, especially in the lower-end price ranges of 40-70k. and sometimes even come with the same body as a laptop that is available for as low as 25K. Apart from these two categories, there are additional types of laptops, such as convertible/touch laptops and budget laptops.

  • If you have the tightest of Budget, this one should be your Aim, don’t Go for EMMC storage ones/ 4GB Ram models etc.

  • Infinix has been releasing rock solid Laptops since they first launched x1 slim. this one is no different. for any casual user who lives in the browser and office tools, this has all you need. The build quality of the laptop will put laptops with 3x the price Tag to shame.
  • This one is enough for most casual users, and I have got this Laptop for 4 of my acquittances, including an MBA student who are all happy. the laptop is thin, light, and has a good display

Asus Vivo book 15 OLED

  • it has a fast enough processor that would easily do all of your office work, as well as heavier stuff like coding, photo/video editing etc. without slowdowns. The build quality is also adequate, and better than many in the range, even though not the best. where it shines, is the display, with a FHD OLED panel, it will make the laptop an entertainment beast.
  • This solves the few shortcomings that Infinix has for casual users. this has an even better display quality, comparable build quality, and more importantly, enough performance to give you confidence to do even medium – heavy tasks. So, if you have a budget of 50k, you know what to get

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 OLED

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7730U
  • 14″ WUXGA IPS 400 nits Display
  • 400 nits, 60Hz
  • 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD
  • Windows 11
  • 1.41KG, Full metal Body
  • Lenovo was getting behind in the mid-level thin and light laptops with the slim 3, where the ASUS, Acer and even HP laptops began shipping better overall products. The slim 5 Comes as a long overdue successor to the Slim 3, with a Bang. This has a full metal chassis, ample RAM and Storage, a powerful processor, and a beautiful display to match.
  • At this range, you either can get the M1 Air, or this. if you want the best possible Battery Backup and overall system, M1 might be a better choice. but for people other than casual users, I would recommend this one, because it can also run games, have enough storage and RAM, has a better Display, while being not too bad on build quality either.

Apple MacBook Air

Specification

  • M1 chip
  • 13.3″ IPS Display
  • 8GB RAM/256GB SSD
  • Integrated Graphics
  • 1.25KG
  • The m1 MacBook Air aged like fine wine, and with continuous price cuts, it manages to stay relevant. it is among the most well-rounded Laptops under 1 Lakh, with best in class build quality, trackpad, keyboard etc. and Battery Backup that only the best of windows Laptops can challenge. This was also the Mac that changed me from MacBook hater (intel Macs are not my piece of cake) to loving them. though, get this if you can live with 256GB Storage, I have seen many struggles with storage after buying this. Also, cracked app support as well as general software availability for macs are lower.

Gaming Laptops

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5500H
  • NVIDIA RTX 2050 4GB
  • 8GB/512GB SSD
  • 15.6″ FHD IPS 300nits Display
  • 144Hz Refresh Rate
  • This is the cheapest you should go, if you are going to get a Gaming Laptop. though it is not the best laptop to play AAA titles at high FPS, it can run most optimized games at playable FPS. The RTX 2050 is a scam, and is only slightly better than a 1650, and modern integrated graphics like 780m from AMD and Arc graphics from intel ultra series are as powerful as this gaming laptop. that being said, this is only a fraction of the cost.
  • If you want a gaming laptop, and your budget won’t allow for a 3050.

ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED

ASUS Vivobook 15 OLED

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600H
  • 15.6″ FHD OLED 600nits Display
  • 60Hz Refresh Rate
  • NVIDIA RTX 3050 4GB
  • 16GB RAM/512GB SSD
  • 1.65KG
  • The price of the laptop is very good considering its specifications, and it comes with 16GB of Ram while most other laptops in this range, including Gaming Laptops cheap out on just 8 GB of RAM (spoiler Alert, 8GB is not enough for most modern games.) That is also the reason for this laptop being in the list rather than HP Victus, which has about 20 – 25% more performance with the same 3050 GPU, thanks to the higher TGP
  • I would say, this is a sweet spot for every casual gamer. the laptop is powerful enough to play most games at a good 60 FPS, the display is excellent for gaming as well as for watching videos, thanks to the OLED display. but for people who need best Performance for the money, you should probably go with something that gives 70W to the GPU like the idea pad below.

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 7 6800H
  • NVIDIA RTX 3050 4GB
  • 15.6″ FHD IPS 250 nits Display
  • 120Hz Refresh Rate
  • 8GB/512GB SSD
  • RGB Backlit Keyboard
  • 2.32KG
  • Other than the fact that Lenovo thought it apt to ship it with 8GB RAM in 2024, everything is great about this Laptop. it has a great processor, great build quality, RGB keyboard, a high refresh rate display etc. but, you would have to spend some 3k extra on a RAM stick someday. please do not buy a 3050 laptop for more than 65k, as both variants of 3050 [6GB and 4GB] are considerably slower than a 4050 available for 75K.
  • If you are a gamer, and want the best possible performance under 65K, and can sacrifice display quality and weight. DO NOT BUY ANY 3050 FOR MORE THAN 65K.

Lenovo LOQ 2024

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB
  • 24 GB DDR5 RAM/512 GB SSD
  • 15.6″ FHD IPS 100% sRGB 300nits Display
  • 144Hz Refresh Rate
  • Same Laptop with intel i5 12450HX, Slightly Cheaper [ and so will be the battery backup]
  • 4050 is a very nice upgrade over the 3050, and if your budget allows for it, please go with the 4050. not only that it has 6GB VRAM (WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT), and is powerful as an RTX 3060, which was retailed for over 1 Lakh. what’s more? that is by using about half the power. So, the Laptop will run cooler, and will be quieter, while playing better. the intel version is also there, if you are into intel.
  • Just like I said in the case of the Asus vivo book, this too is a safe sport, with ample performance to keep you satisfied, as a gamer for budgets under 80k.

Lenovo LOQ

LOQ

Specification

  • Intel Core i5-12450H
  • NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB Graphics
  • 15.6″ FHD IPS 350nits Display
  • 144Hz Refresh Rate
  • 16GB DDR5 RAM/512GB SSD
  • 2.4KG
  • If your most important priority is Gaming, and your Buget is under 1 Lakh, then this is the perfect laptop for you. I don’t prefer intel very much, but for gaming, the 8GB RTX 4060 is a weight above the 4050. fun fact, the 4070 is only like 15-20% faster than 4060, so you want to spend upwards of 2 Lakhs to get significantly faster laptops.
  • If you are a gamer, the 4060 is so much beneficial for you. do note, this has a slower processor, older design and lower build quality than the previous 4050 model, so if you won’t use the 4060, get the other one.

HP OMEN

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS
  • NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB
  • 16.1″ FHD IPS 300nits Display
  • 165Hz Refresh Rate
  • 16GB DDR5 RAM/1TB SSD
  • RGB Backlit Keyboard
  • 2.32KG
  • This laptop is our first entry into high end gaming laptops, and has a very powerful processor, GPU, and premium build quality.
  • If you want a premium no compromise Gaming laptop, that is not too thick and heavy. The GPU is limited to 90W of power, keep that in mind, while 4060 can use up to 110W for increasing the performance.

Lenovo LOQ

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS
  • NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB Graphics
  • 15.6″ FHD IPS 100% sRGB300nits Display
  • 144Hz Refresh Rate
  • 16GB DDR5 RAM/1TB SSD
  • 2.4KG
  • You want the best possible performance under 150k? look no more. this laptop is a beast, with latest 8845HS Processor, with an even faster and more efficient processor, 120W GPU (110 is enough, still), has RGB, Similar Look and finish to the now legendary Legion Series etc.
  • Pretty much any gamer who has the budget

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 OLED

Specification

  • AMD Ryzen 9 Octa Core 8945HS
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB
  • 16 GB DDR5 RAM/1 TB SSD
  • 14″ 3K OLED 500 nits Glossy Display
  • 120Hz Refresh Rate
  • You want to game but can’t sacrifice the build quality of a thin and light laptop? the Zephyrus is an offspring between the beastly Strix series and the premium ZenBook series. What you get are the size and quality of a thing and light laptop, like OLED display, Full metal build, 14-inch form factor etc., paired with a powerful performance including a Graphics card that can pump 90W of power.
  • If you want a very powerful laptop without sacrificing the build quality. the premium for that is height though, so think before you buy.
