Pros and Cons of One Plus 11

  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
  • Less Bloatware
  • Charger inside the box
  • Alert Slider
  • 100W Fast Charging

  • Camera
  • E4 AMOLED Display
  • Gorilla Glass Victus

Let us first speak about the pros, the phone comes with the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is proven to be a beast. It is often called the comeback of Snapdragon. It is built from TSMC which implies lower heating issues while heavy gaming. The other notable feature is the comeback of the alert slider which is an iconic feature of ONE PLUS. It is a Physical switch located on the side of the power button which lets the user toggle between mute, vibrate and ring without turning the phone on. Also, the phone charges to 100 from 0 in 25 minutes.

The phone comes with OXYGEN OS which is actually COLOR OS with less bloatware. Even though the new skin is heavy and different compared to the older generations of OXYGEN OS, which users loved, the phone comes with minimal bloatware compared to some other brands. It has dual stereo speakers which are decently loud. Also, the charger comes inside the box which is a noteworthy feature nowadays and is becoming rare. The phone comes in both green and black variants. The green one comes with a glossy finish while the black one with a matte finish.

Now moving to the cons, the camera performance is just decent. We can’t expect flagship-level quality, even though you are expected to pay flagship money. Meanwhile, phones such as the S23 come with much better cameras, 8K support, 3X optical camera, 4K 60 HDR video support on the front and back, etc.

Also, the AMOLED display present in the phone is E4 AMOLED while the recent one is E6 so it is literally 2 generations older. Also, the glass protection present on the front side is just Gorilla Glass Victus which is also 2 generations older (Victus + and Victus 2). Also, the operating system which is Oxygen OS is just color OS. The older versions of ONE PLUS phones had the “real” OXYGEN OS, known for speed and optimization, and was a huge part of creating the huge fanbase that it now enjoys.

Now let us compare One Plus 11 with another phone of the almost, same price range, but 10k more, yes with SAMSUNG Galaxy S23

Comparison between ONE PLUS 11 and S23

As we can see, Samsung’s offering is not bad by any means and provides a large number of features when compared to the OP11, which is not to say OP11 is Bad, but they are not as good either when the value propositions are compared, especially if you break your motherboard or glass at least once. But as good news, if you want the best performance for 60k, then OP11 is the way to go.

Is One Plus Back?

As much as We want to say one plus is back, as an old Oneplus fan, Sadly, it is Not. Definitely, it is on the way, and the one plus 11 might be the first good phone they launched after the one plus 7 Pro. But it is not enough. Once upon a time, one plus used to obliterate the likes of Samsung and Xiaomi in terms of value for money, and user experience respectively, while Apple could have been annihilated.

While the hardware would have been the same if one plus ‘never settled’, the price is not. one plus used to provide a flagship experience with a few shortcomings for about half the price. Then with the one plus 8 and 9, they got flagship price and mediocre experience, and with the one plus 11, they have we have a slightly lower price, compared to the s23 and stuff, but the pricing of the s23 actually makes much more sense, and if you have the money, is a better deal than the OP 11. check here for the best phones of 2023
